BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 18. In actual prices, Azerbaijan's agricultural output from January to November 2024 was 12.2 billion manat ($7.1 billion), up 1 percent over the corresponding period in 2023.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Statistics Committee show that during the mentioned period, production in the field of animal husbandry increased by 1.4 percent (up to 6.1 billion manat ($3.5 billion)) in value terms, and in the field of crop production—by 0.6 percent (up to 6 billion manat ($3.5 billion)).
According to the report, 3.2 million tons of cereals and legumes were harvested in Azerbaijan from 1.018 million ha (99.4 percent of the total sown area) from January through November 2024. The average yield was 31.9 centners per ha.
A total of 920,900 tons of potatoes (7.6 percent reduction over the year), 1.831 million tons of other vegetables (1 percent growth), 490,400 tons of melons (11.9 percent growth), 1.3 million tons of fruits and berries (4.8 percent growth), 202,000 tons of grapes (9.3 percent reduction), and 1,100 tons of green tea (4.9 percent reduction) were harvested as of the first of December.

Azerbaijan produced 543,000 tons of meat, 2 million tons of milk, and 2 billion chicken eggs from January through November 2024. The production of meat increased by one percent, milk by 0.8 percent, and chicken eggs by 4.8 percent compared to 2023.

To note, the volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in 2023 in actual prices amounted to 12.2 billion manat ($7.1 billion), which is three percent higher than in 2022. Production in the field of animal husbandry in value terms increased by 3.2 percent (to 6.2 billion manat ($3.6 billion)), and in the field of crop production, by 2.7 percent (to 5.9 billion manat ($3.4 billion)).
