BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. The volume of trade operations between Azerbaijan and Denmark reached $3.3 million from January through February 2025
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that this represents an increase of $626,000, or 23.8 percent, compared to the same period in the previous year.
The trade turnover with Denmark accounted for just 0.04 percent of Azerbaijan's total trade volume during the reporting period.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan exported goods worth $153,000 to Denmark from January through February 2025, marking an increase of 56.1 percent, or $55,000, compared to the same period last year.
Moreover, Azerbaijan's imports from Denmark totaled $93.2 million, reflecting an increase of $571,000, or 22.6 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
Overall, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in January and February amounted to $8.9 billion, which is an increase of $1.7 billion, or 23.2 percent, compared to the previous year.
Out of this total, $4.8 billion was exports, and $4.1 billion was imports. Exports decreased slightly by $13 million, or 0.3 percent, while imports surged by $1.7 billion, or 69.2 percent.
The balance of foreign trade during this period showed a positive result of $628 million, though this was $1.7 billion, or 3.7 times lower, than last year’s surplus.
