BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. Azerbaijan’s oil production is expected to reach 0.65 million barrels per day (mb/d) in 2026, according to data from the International Energy Agency (IEA) obtained by Trend.
In the first quarter of 2026, output is projected at 0.66 mb/d.
For 2025, the IEA forecasts oil production at 0.62 mb/d, slightly down by 0.01 mb/d compared to its previous estimate.
According to the agency’s data, production in 2025 is expected to begin at 0.6 mb/d in the first quarter, rising gradually to 0.62 mb/d in the second quarter, 0.64 mb/d in the third, and 0.65 mb/d in the fourth.
In 2024, Azerbaijan’s average oil production stood at 0.6 mb/d, the IEA reports.
Meanwhile, the Energy Ministry of Azerbaijan reported that the country produced a total of 6.9 million tons of oil, including condensate, from January through March 2025.
