ASTANA, Kazakhstan, June 11. A series of key agreements were signed during the Kazakhstan-France and Kazakhstan-Italy business forums held ahead of the International Forum in Astana (AIF 2025), as well as on the sidelines of the forum, Trend reports, citing the Kazakh government.
During the Kazakhstan-France business forum, a total of 15
strategic agreements were executed, prominently featuring the
establishment of a hydrogen production facility in Pavlodar, backed
by an investment surpassing 90 million euros.
The Kazakhstan-Italy business forum culminated in the establishment
of 10 strategic agreements, aggregating a financial commitment of
180 million euros, encompassing initiatives in logistics
optimization, advanced machine engineering, agricultural processing
innovation, industrial digital transformation, and sustainable
energy solutions.
On the sidelines of AIF 2025, the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, in collaboration with Kazak Protein and its partners Tiryaki Agro (Turkey) and Hassad Food (Qatar), with the support of KAZAKH INVEST, signed an investment contract valued at $320 million for the creation of a deep grain processing complex in Astana.
Additionally, JSC KAZAKH INVEST signed three agreements with Italian organizations. One of the key projects is the TRAMITE Group project in the Turkestan region, valued at $180 million, which will include the construction of a greenhouse, a tomato processing plant, alfalfa granulation facilities, and more.
Alongside these financial agreements, several strategically important documents were signed at AIF 2025, marking a significant step forward for Kazakhstan’s economy.
The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) signed an agreement to fund the Eurasian Competitiveness Program. This partnership aims to provide expert support and drive effective economic reforms. The program will serve as a catalyst for the implementation of OECD standards, improving the legal and institutional environment and enhancing the region's competitiveness.
The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum with the Solana Foundation and Intebix to launch Central Asia’s first blockchain zone on the Solana platform, named "Solana Economic Zone Kazakhstan."
Furthermore, with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Integration, a General Agreement was signed for the creation of Kazakhstan’s first international outlet center, to be built in Almaty region. The project, initiated by the QSM Group, with Austrian company Ekazent Management GmbH as a partner (one of the leaders in the European commercial real estate market), will span an area of 80,000 to 120,000 square meters.
These agreements highlight Kazakhstan’s growing investment appeal and efforts to strengthen its international economic ties and infrastructure development.
