ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 17. Export contracts worth more than $14.9 million were signed at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET), Trend reports.
Buyers from Afghanistan and the United States have thrown their
hats in the ring, snapping up liquefied gas and shining a spotlight
on the ongoing international buzz around Turkmenistan's energy
exports.
In the meantime, on the home front, Turkmen entrepreneurs struck
deals that added up to more than 33.4 million manats (around $9.5
million). Local buys ran the gamut from road bitumen to technical
carbon, cotton linters, and a whole host of textile products.
A cumulative total of 48 contractual agreements were documented on SCRMET during the preceding week, highlighting a consistent trading momentum across diverse sectors. The Exchange continues to serve as a pivotal nexus for the facilitation of both domestic and international commodity trading activities.
