TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 20. Afghanistan’s Afgan Cyber company and Uzbekistan’s Kashif Ferghani LTD have signed a $9.5 million contract for the supply of various models of leather footwear to the Afghan market, Trend reports.
The agreement followed a business delegation organized by the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry to Mazar-i-Sharif, aimed at boosting export potential, entering new markets, and strengthening ties with international investors.
During the visit, the Uzcharmsanoat Association and affiliated enterprises held B2B meetings with leading Afghan companies and entrepreneurs to discuss expanding trade cooperation, attracting foreign direct investment, and increasing industrial exports.
A meeting was also held with Ahmad Aymal, head of AYSAN—a supplier of special service footwear to Afghanistan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs—who expressed strong interest in Uzbekistan’s specialized products and readiness for future collaboration.
Additionally, prominent Afghan entrepreneur Azhan Habibi and the company SY HORIZON expressed interest in Uzbek leather footwear, with SY HORIZON planning a business visit to Uzbekistan.
