Azerbaijan International Mineral Resources Operating Co.Ltd (AIMROC) announced a tender for drilling of wells in 50,000 meters in the ore areas of the Kohnemaden field (in the north-western Azerbaijan), the tender commission said.
The program of drilling wells will be used in geological, geotechnical and metallurgical evaluation of the filed.
Azerbaijani companies or contractors from countries that have diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan can participate in the tender. Starting date is scheduled for July 2010, and their conduction will be completed within 12 months.
Criteria for evaluation of bids are as follows: the cost of drilling one meter, the technical condition of equipment, staff experience, time of conducting works , guarantee for preservation of core.

Under the agreement on production sharing, signed between the Government of Azerbaijan and AIMROC for 30 years, the share of Azerbaijan is 51 percent, Britain's Anglo-Asian Mining Plc - 49 per cent.
The country expects to receive 30 percent of income from sales of development projects Garadagh, Chovdar, Goydag and Dagkesemen ore-bearing areas, Keynemedan area from Azerbaijan International Mineral Resources Operating Co.Ltd (AIMROC). Only the last one can contain from 200 to 1000 kilograms of gold mining of which does not require availabilityof complex technological equipment.
