Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad launched the biggest textile mill in the Middle East, with an annual production capacity of 15,000 tons, Mehr News Agency reported.
The mill is equipped with modern technology from France. It has the production capacity of 15,000 tons, annually.
The mill produces polyester textile (used in radial tires), polyamide, rayon, industrial liners, and a textile belt that can be used in tire and rubber industries.
The value of the Kermanshah tire cord complex is estimated as worth $100 million per year. It is expected to help reduce Iran's annual imports of textile belts, polyester, radial tires, polyamide and rayon.
