A consortium of Japanese companies, which includes Itochu and JJC, are developing a feasibility study on the deep processing of heavy residual oil at the Turkmenbashi refinery.
The company will have to complete the production cycle. The basis of the project will be the installation of a deep catalytic cracking of DSS, as well as gasoline polypropylene, alkylation, hydrodesulfurization production systems.
A Turkmen official source said petrol produced under the project will be consistent with the Euro-5 international standard.
