Indian Minister for Oil and Natural Gas Murli Deora will participate in a forthcoming meeting of steering committee on the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) project in Ashgabat in September, the Turkmen government announced.
In a telephone talk with Indian Premier Manmohan Singh Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov voiced his pleasure in connection with Deora's participation in the event.
Berdimuhammedov invited Singh to an Ashgabat meeting TAPI member-states, scheduled for December.
Singh stated his readiness to participate in the meeting, which he hope will take a final and coordinated decision on construction of TAPI.
Singh stressed the interests in intensifying bilateral partnership in all directions, including political, trade, economic, and humanitarian fields.
