Azerbaijan, Baku, August7 /Trend/

Iran will deliver first oil swap cargo in Persian Gulf soon and in new swap contracts only the price would change, Mehr News Agency reported quoting head of international affairs at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Mohsen Ghamsari as saying.

"Iran's oil swap started late June and it is predicted by next 20 days Iran delivers first oil swap cargo in Persian Gulf," he said.

The National Iranian Oil Company is ready for oil swap with Caspian Sea states and so far had various negotiations to increase volume of oil swap operation with domestic and foreign customers, he added.

He noted the new conditions of oil swap would bring more profit for country's economy. In new contract only the price has changed.

After 13 years of oil swap from Caspian Sea countries through Iran's route to Persian Gulf, on April 2010 four major foreign companies refused to sign oil swap agreement and Iran's crude oil swap rate reached zero.

More than 100, 000 Caspian Sea oil barrels passed through Iran's route to Persian Gulf. From 1997 to 2010 Iran profited $146 million from the oil swap.
