Uzbekenergo ups net profit by 54.7 percent in 2010

"Uzbekenergo" company increased net profit by 54.7 percent up to 328.27 billion soums in 2010 compared to the same period of 2009, the company's annual report said.

According to a report, the power plants generated 50 billion kWh of electricity, thermal power stations - 43.5 billion kWh, hydroelectric power stations - 6.5 billion kWh.

The company provided consumers with electricity to the amount of 41.3 billion kWh and thermal energy - 7.7 million Gcal.

The export amounted to $76.74 billion in 2010.

The company's net profit increased by 18.3 percent up to 2.07 billion soums. The expenses increased by 33.8 percent up to 42.29 billion soums.

The income from financial activity increased up to 48.33 billion soums, the expenses - up to 37.17 billion soums.

Uzbekenergo's assets increased by 65.2 percent up to 4.03 trillion soums last year. The long-term assets increased by 2.5 times up to 1.67 trillion soums, current assets - by 31.8 percent up to 2.36 trillion soums. Uzbekenergo's obligations increased by 86.7 percent up to 2.8 trillion soums.

The company's own funds increased by 30.3 percent up to 1.23 trillion soums given the authorized capital worth 359.46 billion soums.

According to the official statistics, Uzbekistan increased electricity production by 3.5 percent up to 51.712 billion kilowatt-hours in 2010 compared to 2009.
