Iran 's non-oil export increases by 42 percent

Iran 's non-oil export during first four months of current solar year (started on March 20, 2011) increased by 42.5 percent to more than $13.2 billion, IRIB reported quoting Iran's Economy Minister Shamseddin Hosseini as saying.

"Iran's non-oil export growth without gas condensates in first four months of current year was more than 28 percent," he said.

Iran 's import over the first four months of current year reduced 3.5 percent to $18.4 billion and the government plans to assign $2 billion from national development fund to support non-oil export, he added.

The country's transit revenue had 26 percent growth while the government revenues also increased 21.5 percent

Iran 's oil export had 28 percent growth in first four months of current year to $10 billion.

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Iran is the third largest country in the Middle East and Central Asia in terms of exports and imports.
