Costs of partners for energy projects exceeded $ 390 million in the I quarter in Azerbaijan

The cost of contracts and orders in the frame of the projects operated by the BP in Azerbaijan amounted to $393 million in the first quarter, BP said on Monday.

In 2011 the cost of contracts and orders in projects operated by the British company BP in Azerbaijan amounted to about $1.21 billion compared to about $1.03 billion in 2010.

Cost of contracts for small and medium-sized enterprises (total 159) amounted to $108 million, state-owned companies (19) - $ 10 million, joint venture with local partner (12) - $138 million. Costs of foreign contractors in the country in the first quarter totaled $137 million.

Some $0.44 million was spent in the first quarter for the projects in the framework of social responsibility.

Projects in the framework of social responsibility in the first quarter was spent 0.44 million dollars. In particular, the project development of offshore Azerbaijani fields Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli a worth of $0.08 million, "Shah Deniz" - $0.04 millionm, pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum - $0.09 million. Some $0.23 million has been spent by BP within own social responsibility projects.
