BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11
By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:
Iran's Ghadir Energy Investment Company will lay the foundation of a 10-megawatt solar panel station in the Bafq county of Yazd Province (central Iran) on August 12, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.
The station will deliver 20 million kilowatt-hours of electricity a year to Iran's electricity network, said the ministry.
The station will be built on 20 hectares of land within a year, the report said.
"More than 5 million cubic meters of gas will be saved per year with the completion of the construction of this station," the ministry added.
According to the ministry, Bafq county was chosen for the construction of this station because of the favorable conditions, as in the country, there are 300 sunny days a year as minimum.
