BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG consortium has publicly disclosed gas flow nominations for its interconnections, Trend reports.
Kipoi interconnection in Greece is scheduled to receive 366,921,291 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of gas on July 15 and 310,425,291 kWh on July 16. Simultaneously, the Komotini interconnection has recorded exit nominations of 28,670,675 kWh for July 15 and July 16 each, while the Nea Mesimvria interconnection has an exit nomination of 48,346,301 kWh for July 15 and 30,346,301 kWh on July 16.
Additionally, the Melendugno interconnection has reported gas exit nominations of 306,404,315 kWh on July 15 and 249,908,315 kWh on July 16.
As a vital component of the Southern Gas Corridor in Europe, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline plays a crucial role in enhancing the continent's energy security, fostering the diversification of energy sources, and supporting the transition towards decarbonization.
With annual transportation capacity of approximately 10 billion cubic meters of gas, the pipeline also holds the potential for capacity expansion to 20 billion cubic meters. TAP's provision of a reliable source of natural gas significantly contributes to ensuring Europe's access to a new and sustainable energy resource.
