BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 9. The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG consortium has announced gas flow nominations for its primary interconnections, Trend reports.
On December 9, the Kipoi interconnection in Greece is scheduled to receive 376,157,291 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of gas, with additional 29,000,000 kWh planned for December 10. The Komotini interconnection shows exit nominations of 28,670,675 kWh for December 9. The Nea Mesimvria interconnection has reported an exit nomination of 30,346,301 kWh for December 9.
Meanwhile, the Melendugno interconnection has recorded exit nominations of 315,140,315 kWh on December 9, with another 29,000,000 kWh scheduled for December 10.
As a vital component of the Southern Gas Corridor, TAP significantly enhances Europe’s energy security by diversifying supply sources and supporting the transition toward decarbonization. With an annual transport capacity of around 10 billion cubic meters (bcm), TAP has the potential to expand to 20 bcm, offering a dependable natural gas supply that strengthens Europe’s access to sustainable and diversified energy sources.
