Value of raw materials in Iran's oil sector rising

The value of raw materials in Iran’s oil sector increased by 3.9 percent during the first 9 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through December 20, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the statistics of Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, the value of raw materials in Iran’s oil sector amounted to about 616 trillion rials (about $14.6 billion) for 9 months. While in the same period last Iranian year, this figure was 592 trillion rials (about $14.1 billion).

“Furthermore, the value of raw materials in the oil sector amounted to 175 trillion rials (about $4.18 billion) in the spring, 211 trillion rials (about 5.02 billion) in summer and 229 trillion rials (about $5.45 billion) in autumn. This is an increase of by 16.7 percent, 22.2 percent and 9.7 percent, respectively, compared to the same season in the last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

As reported, the value of Iran's gross domestic product amounted to 4.8 quadrillion rials (about $114 billion) in the first nine months. According to stable prices in 2011, Iran's economic growth increased by 2.2 percent compared to last Iranian year.
