Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept.28 / Trend H. Veliyev /
Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan joined the supercomputer center of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio-electronics, Vladislav Nelaev, Professor of the micro and nanoelectronics department at the Belarusian State University said today.
According to him, the Physics Institute's access to the Supercomputer Center allowed Azerbaijani scientists to conduct calculations using the resources of the Supercomputer center in Belarus.
"We have established a connection interface Baku-Minsk, conducted training on the creation of cluster systems. Jointly with the Institute of Physics of Azerbaijan we are engaged in calculation of [...] objects that are used as perspective materials in nanoelectronics [...], microelectromechanical systems," he said.
According to the professor, a distinctive feature of such calculations is their solidity and precision.
"The calculations are conducted using supercomputers," Nelaev said.
