The Azerbaijani State Property Issues Committee obtained 100 percent of the AzEuroTel telecom operator's shares, Azeurotel CEO Jabit Rasulov told Trend today.
Rasulov said AzEuroTel was reorganized into a LLC from May 11 based on LukOilEurope's letter to the committee.
"LukOilEurope withdrew from the equity in the company by sending a letter to the committee in 2007. Under the current statute of Azerurotel, the company's entire activities may be implemented on the basis of the Baku Telephone Communications' proposals," Rasulov said.
AzEuroTel was founded in 1995 by LUKoilEuropeltd (UK) (50 percent) and the Azerbaijani Communications Ministry (50 percent).
