Latvian company SV Gulbis SIA says that the creation of a joint multi-modal logistics center with Uzbek partners is very promising.

In an interview with Trend, SV Gulbis stated that the market of Uzbekistan is very interesting because of the accumulated experience of cooperation between the countries in the transport and logistics, both at intergovernmental level and between the companies of the two countries.

"Uzbekistan is located in the very center of Central Asia, and large-scale changes occurring in Uzbekistan contribute to the growth of its foreign trade and interaction with the outside world. The liberalization of foreign exchange market, export-import operations and improved business conditions make Uzbekistan very attractive for foreign investors."

They also noted that the successful placement of Eurobonds by Uzbekistan gives confidence and opens up new opportunities for foreign investors. In this regard, the company expects a significant increase in the freight traffic in the direction of Uzbekistan, and sees the idea of creating a modern multi-modal logistics center with the Uzbek partners as very promising.

SV Gulbis said that the transport and logistics center will provide high-quality warehouse, terminal and other logistics services. The complex is planned to be equipped with the latest technological equipment from Europe. The main list of its services includes the loading and unloading of goods, storage, accounting and labeling. The planned cargo turnover will be more than 3 million tons per year.

In addition, SV Gulbis stated that their international experience plays a very important role. Working with leading global companies allowed them to accumulate significant knowledge, which they would be happy to share with their Uzbek partners. The company is ready to invest in modern equipment and production infrastructure and training local staff.

SV Gulbis shared their views on the newly created Ministry of Transport. In their opinion, this step is very timely and is aimed at ensuring the long-term development of this strategic sector of the economy, increasing its competitiveness and creating the necessary conditions for further growth of the Uzbek economy.

SV Gulbis is a Latvian transport and logistics services operator, which has been operating in the market for more than 20 years. The company transports from Western Europe to the CIS countries and operates warehouses in Riga and Berlin. The company regularly transports equipment of leading world manufacturers, including Siemens, Sandvik, Bisol, Champion, etc. The company has long-term experience of cooperation with the Central Asian region, and in particular with the Uzbek companies and entrepreneurs.
