ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 2. KazTransOil JSC (Kazakhstan's national operator of the main oil pipeline) has transported 1.128 billion tons of oil since its founding in 1997, Trend reports, citing the company.
The total volume of cargo turnover exceeded 825 billion t-km. In
addition, 2,347 kilometers of sections and major oil pipelines were
constructed or renovated.
During the indicated period, the company's tax payments exceeded
500 billion tenge (about $1.1 billion).
According to the firm, KazTransOil JSC currently possesses a
diverse network of key oil pipelines totaling 5,400 kilometers in
length. The company transports oil to Kazakhstani oil refineries
and for export in five directions: the Atyrau-Samara and
Kazakhstan-China oil pipelines, the port of Aktau (loading oil into
tankers), transshipment into the Caspian Pipeline Consortium-K JSC
system on Kazakhstani territory, and railway (filling tankers).
Furthermore, the volume of oil transported by KazTransOil JSC's
pipeline networks has nearly doubled over the course of the
company's existence. If the corporation transported around 23
million tons of oil in 1997, the figure now exceeds 44 million
tons.
KazTransOil JSC is the national operator for oil pipelines. It is part of the KazMunayGas JSC (Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company) group, and owns a diversified network of main oil pipelines with a length of 5,400 km.
