"As per the document the education in Kazakh language will be implemented in all six schools of the town," - the embassy press service said.

The embassy reminded that due to the fact that Baikonur cosmodrome is leased by Russian Federation, everything that is paid and maintained by Russia functions in accordance with inner regulations. That is why the problem of "satisfying requests from parents and their children living in Baikonur about the education in Kazakh language" emerged.

According to the embassy, "a serious conciliatory work was carried out during the preparation of the agreement. It was discussed by five bilateral subcommittees with participation of lawyers and experts."

Byrganym Aitimova, Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, and Andrei Fursenko, Ministry of Education of Russia, have inked the agreement today, November 22.
