BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 6. The trade turnover between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan has dramatically decreased in January 2023 in annual terms, Trend reports via the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the data, the value of the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $17,100 in January 2023, which is a decrease of 36 times or 97.2 percent over $621,000 in the same period of 2022.

The exports from Tajikistan to Kyrgyzstan totaled $7,300 in January 2023, which is a decrease of 32 times over $230,900 in January 2022.

At the same time, the exports from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan amounted to $9,900 during the period, decreasing by almost 40 times, compared to $390,800 in January 2022.

Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan made up $5 million last year, which is a decrease of 82 percent or 5.4 times over $27 million in 2021.

The exports from Tajikistan to Kyrgyzstan reached $1.7 million in 2022, decreasing by 58.44 percent over $4.1 million in 2021.

Furthermore, the exports from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan made up $3.3 million. The figure decreased by 86 percent or 7 times over $23.7 million in 2021.
