Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov said the celebration of the sixty-fifth anniversary of the victory over fascism must be celebrated "widely and solemnly."
"Our courageous compatriots, those who did not spare their lives and fought for the freedom and the independence of their country and a happy peaceful life for future generations, must be the center of the attention and respect," he said at the last meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The country will construct a new memorial complex in Ashgabat to commemorate the memory of compatriots who died in the battle against fascism.
