Uzbekistan sees dip in production of gas through underground coal gasification

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 26. Uzbekistan produced 49.2 million cubic meters of gas through underground coal gasification from January through July 2024, Trend reports.

As per data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure has decreased by 11.7 percent compared to the same period last year (55 million cubic meters in January–July 2023).

At the same time, the production volume of gas through underground coal gasification in July 2024 has not changed compared to June 2024.

Meanwhile, the production volume of gas through underground coal gasification in Uzbekistan reached 49.2 million cubic meters from January through June 2024. This indicator has decreased by 3 percent compared to the same period last year (50.7 million cubic meters in January–June 2023).

In June 2024, the production volume of gas through underground coal gasification amounted to 1.8 million cubic meters, which is equal to 1.8 million cubic meters in May 2024.
