Iran has produced 16.8 million tons of cement in the four-month period beginning March 21, 2009, a Ministry of Industries and Mines report says.
IRNA news agency quoted the ministry''s public relations office as reporting that the production was 10 percent higher than the figure for the same period last year.
The cement output in the Iranian calendar Tir month (June 22-July 21) stood at 4.7 million tons, a 10 percent rise year on year.
