Georgia's path towards closer ties with Europe and joining the NATO military alliance is "more open than ever," President Mikheil Saakashvili said Friday on the first anniversary of war with Russia, AFP reported.
"The way towards the EU and NATO is more open than ever," Saakashvili said in an advance copy of a speech to be delivered later.
