Two men accused of plotting to blow up jet fuel tanks at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport in 2007 have been found guilty, Press TV reported.

Russell DefreitasAbdul Kadir, once a member of Guyana's parliament, were found guilty on multiple conspiracy charges by a jury in a federal court in Brooklyn, New York on Monday.
Defreitas and Kadir were arrested in 2007 after an informant infiltrated their group and recorded them discussing the plot.
They face a maximum sentence of life in prison. Judge Dora Irizarry set a December 15 sentencing date.
Lawyers for both defendants said they would appeal the verdict.
The authorities said the foiled plot was meant to outdo the September 11, 2001 attacks.
