A 24-year-old British surrogate mother carrying twins who were the grandchildren of Osama Bin Laden hassuffered a miscarriage after being attacked, the Turkish DHA news agency reported.

LouisePollard was beaten on a street in Damascus when returning from a local cafe to her apartments. After she was taken to the hospital, doctors reported she had miscarried.

Several months ago, Pollard, who had previously been a surrogate mother for childless families, agreed to bear the twins of 29-year old Omar bin Laden, who is the son of the head of al-Qaida, and his British wife, 54-year-old Jane Felix-Brown, also known as Zaina.

Zaina divorced her husband several months ago due to mental illness, but consented to have Pollard, whom she met in Syria, artificially inseminated with embryos created by her and the younger bin Laden.

Pollard said she had no plans to repeat the attempt to become a surrogate mother to the grandchildren of the most wanted terrorists in the world.
