A gas leak caused an explosion in Baku's Azizbayov district leaving one injured, the Interior Ministry's press service told Trend .
The explosion occurred in a house owned by Nazim Karimov in Pirallahi in the Azizbayov region at 12:00 on Jan. 21.
Karimov received burns and was taken to the hospital.
A blast occurred earlier in an apartment building on 34 Nakhchivani St. in Baku's Nizami district at 08:30 on Dec.13. Three people were killed and 6 injured.
Another explosion occurred in Building No. 16 at 10 Meden First St. on Jan. 8. The apartment's owners Mikail Huseinzade and his spouse Zarifa Huseinova, and their daughter Elnara Huseynova, her husband Ziya Hasanzade and their infant child Laman Hasanzade were rushed to the hospital after suffering semi-serious injuries.
Another blast took place in an apartment building at 30 Javadkhan St. on Jan. 16. The blast left 5 dead and 6 injured. Two floors completely collapsed. A resident was convicted of reckless homicide.
