Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received the Swiss State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Interparliamentary Economic Commission Co-Chairman Jean-Daniel Gerber, the Azertag state information agency said.
Gerber said that he used to visit Azerbaijan being the chairman of the World Bank for Azerbaijan. Gerber remembered his meetings with the National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.
Azerbaijan experiences an economic development, which was achieved through fruitful activity of Heydar Aliyev and the incumbent President Ilhm Aliyev.
Azerbaijani President said that the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland were developing on the highest level. Aliyev noted the productive cooperation among international financial institutes, including the World Bank. Aliyev said that Gerber's visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to the expansion of the Azerbaijani-Swiss relations.
