The main activities of the official visit of Uzbek President Islam Karimov to Russia are scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, the Uzbek National News Agency reported.
Islam Karimov has arrived in Moscow on Monday on the invitation of President Dmitry Medvedev. On the same day an informal meeting of leaders of the two countries was held.
Talks with the presidents are planned to be held on Tuesday.
Islam Karimov and Dmitry Medvedev will discuss further development of Uzbek-Russian trade-economic relations, regional and international issues of mutual interest, security issues in Central Asia, relations between Russia and Uzbekistan on issues of international policy.
It is expected that a statement will be made for the press as a result of talks.
