President of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Mahmud Karimov believes that it is necessary to achieve the harmonious development of science and education.
"Science and education - are inseparable, mutually complementary spheres. We should strive to achieve harmonious development of the two spheres," ANAS president Mahmud Kerimov said at a meeting on the results of the year today.
According to Karimov, in 2009, ANAS conducted researches on 470 subjects of 139 problems. Academy of Sciences has introduced nearly 150 findings and received 50 patents and published about 400 books and 5600 scientific articles.
