During the courts session of the criminal cases of the former senior of the Head Investigation Department of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry Haji Mammadov and the criminal band headed by him, the member of the band Farhad Mammadbeyov provided evidences for 15 episodes. The court session on cases of Mammadov and his criminal band is held in the Court of Heinous Crimes of Azerbaijan under chair of judge Ali Seyfaliyev, Trend reports.
At the beginning of the court session, the judge announced the resolution ensuring the request of the advocate of accused Elshan Mirzayev. It should be mentioned that the advocate Ulvi Yusifov had required in his request to stop the criminal case of E.Mirzayev and release him. The advocate justified it through the issue that Mirzayev had been arrested on base of the evidences provided by Aslanbek Chintamirov and Sidik Abdulvahabov in the preliminary investigation. But they stated in the court that they provided false evidences against E.Mirzayev under pressure.
Expressing attention towards the request, the judge stressed that the assessment of the actions of Mirzayev may be made only at the end of the court process.
Then accused Farhad Mammadbeyov gave evidences for 15 episodes. He noted that he has not participated in most of the crimes and in reality wanted to mitigate the case of Mammadov by assuming his crimes. Due to unemployment, I appealed to Mammadov and he took me his driver. I participated as a driver in all crimes of the band and Mammadov. I deny assuming in the preliminary investigation the assasination of Ruslan Ukushev, Dilbar Novruzova, Boris Eyyubova, Mehman Samadov and Ismail Novruzov. These persons were killed by Mammadov personally, he stressed.
The accused person stressed that he has participated as a driver in kidnapping of Ogtay Babayev, Murad Kazimov, assassination of Fatulla Huseynov, Azer Ismaylov and Rovshan Aliyev. As regard to the kidnapping of Zamira Hajiyeva. I participated as a driver. Once I had a telephone conversation with her husband Jahangir Hajiyev, he added.
