The editors' Union of the Country, as well as organizations, which offices are located at the address: 33, Khagani Street, are expected to hold a protest action in front of the office of the State Property Committee this week, and in from of the Presidential Office - the next week, the editorial of Azadlig Newspaper informed Trend.
As a sign of protest against evicting them from their offices and building located at 33, Khagani Street, the Party of People's Front of Azerbaijan, the editorial of pro-opposition paper Azadlig, and other organizations located at the above-mentioned address, are holding demonstrations and hunger strikes.
Today, on September 20, a sitting of the Editor's Council has been held. Participants of the meeting appealed to the strikers to stop the hunger strike. However, Ganimat Zaheed, Editor-in-Chief of Azadlig Newspaper reported that he would continue with the hunger strike.
Today, employees of the Ombudswoman's Apparatus have appeared at the editorial of the paper to visit the strikers. They have shown concern to their health condition and have pledged that the Apparatus would do all possible to solve these issues, as well as observe the forthcoming trial.
An appeal concerning plans to hold a demonstration in front of the Presidential Palace is expected to be sent to the Baku City Executive Power tomorrow (on November 21). As to holding a protest action in front of the State Property Committee, it will be announced only in the newspaper, no letter is expected to be sent to the City Administration.
