BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 10. Azerbaijan's turnover through new generation cash registers exceeded 11.37 billion manat, or $6.69 billion, from January through June 2024, which is 9.9 percent, or 1 billion manat ($588.2 million) more than the indicator of the same period last year, Trend reports via the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.
The service's data shows that more than 98,863 new-generation cash registers have been installed in trade and service facilities.
Their installation has been carried out in stages since the second quarter of 2019.
To note, the turnover through new generation cash registers almost reached 22 billion manat, or $12.94 billion in 2023, which is an increase of 14.2 percent.
