BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 20. Azerbaijan produced 57,624 tons of aluminum products in the period from January through November 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Statistics Committee shows that this is 18,976 tons (49.1 percent) more than in the same period of last year. The country's stocks of ready-made products amounted to 2,954 tons as of December 1 this year.
According to the State Customs Committee, 67,712 tons of aluminum and aluminum products worth $182.6 million were exported to Azerbaijan during the first 11 months of 2024. This is $2.6 million (1.5 percent) more in value and 945 tons (1.3 percent) less in volume than the same period last year.
Aluminum and aluminum product exports for the first 11 months of the month accounted for 0.75 percent of the country's total exports.
At the same time, Azerbaijan imported aluminum and aluminum products worth $158.5 million in the first 11 months of the current year, which is $29.6 million (23.03 percent) more than the same period last year.
To note, imports of aluminum and aluminum products accounted for 0.84 percent of Azerbaijan's total imports in 11 months.
