BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12. Using autonomous vehicles, Azerbaijan moved goods valued at more than $400 million in 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that this represents a decrease of $401.7 million in value, or 50.1 percent, and a reduction of almost 4,900 tons, or 10.7 percent, compared to 2023.
The report further revealed that Azerbaijan exported cargo worth $154.4 million during the reporting period, amounting to around 1,400 tons. This indicates an increase of over $148.1 million, or 24.5 times in value, and a rise of nearly 440 tons, or 43.9 percent, in volume compared to the previous year.
Additionally, over $246.3 million worth of cargo, totaling 39,400 tons, was imported into Azerbaijan using self-propelled vehicles during this period. This shows a decrease of almost $549.8 million, or over 69.1 percent, and a drop of 5,300 tons, or 11.9 percent, in volume, compared to the data from 2023.
