ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 18. The international pipeline system CPC continues the transportation of oil along the route Tengiz – Novorossiysk, Trend reports via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.

At present, the acceptance of oil from shippers is carried out based on updated technical pumping capabilities.

The CPC management group thoroughly inspected the area of the "Kropotkinskaya" pumping station (PS). Specialists from the relevant departments participated in the inspection, tasked with providing a detailed assessment of the damage and possible timelines for restoring the operational capacity of all station subcomponents as soon as possible.

Immediately after the equipment inspection, CPC General Director Nikolai Gorban held a meeting with the leadership of the Western region of the consortium and contractors regarding operational repairs. A great deal of attention was given to strengthening measures for the safe execution of restoration work.

To note, on February 17, 2025, the "Kropotkinskaya" pumping station was attacked by several UAVs filled with explosives and metal shrapnel.

In 2024, over 63 million tons of oil were pumped through the "Kropotkinskaya" pumping station, about 90 percent of which came from Kazakhstan.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest energy projects in the CIS region. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. More than two-thirds of all export oil from Kazakhstan, as well as raw materials from Russian fields, including those located in the Caspian Sea, are transported along this route.
