ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 20. A pipeline for the gasification of Kazakhstan has found its way into the territorial planning scheme of the Russian Federation, Trend reports.
It is mentioned in a decree of the Russian Federation
government, published on the legal information portal.
Thus, the Russian Federation's governmental apparatus has enacted
modifications to the territorial planning schema pertaining to
federal transport modalities, particularly in the domain of
pipeline logistics. This initiative encompasses the prospective
construction of a principal gas conduit, engineered to facilitate a
throughput of 10 billion cubic meters, aimed at the gasification
processes within Kazakhstan's energy infrastructure. The
operational capacity of the compressor stations is projected to be
50 megawatts.
The document delineates the various districts and rural settlements
within the Tyumen region of Russia that are integral to the gas
pipeline construction initiative.
To note, in late December 2024, Russian Deputy Prime Minister
Alexander Novak announced that the development of the pipeline
route from Russia through Kazakhstan to China had begun, with a
capacity of 45 billion cubic meters, 10 billion of which are
intended for the gasification of Kazakhstan.
