ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 12. Kazakhstan and
Austria are aiming to introduce a mutual visa-free regime for their
diplomats, Trend
reports.
“Approve the attached Agreement between the Government of the
Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Government of the Republic
of Austria on the exemption from visa requirements for holders of
diplomatic passports, signed in Astana on February 28, 2025,”
states the draft resolution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
Kazakhstan.
According to the draft agreement, holders of valid diplomatic
passports from Kazakhstan and Austria may enter and exit the
territory of the other party at any crossing point designated for
this purpose by the competent immigration authorities, without any
restrictions, except those established following security,
immigration, customs, sanitary, and other regulations that may
apply to holders of such valid passports.
The data indicates that the adoption of the draft will promote
close cooperation between Kazakhstan and Austria by establishing
mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports.
“The Agreement was signed in the city of Astana on February 28,
2025, in two original copies, each in Kazakh, German, English, and
Russian, with all texts having equal authority,” the authors of the
document clarified.
