Azercell Telecom LLC, a cellular communication operator in Azerbaijan, has put into operation the international roaming service with India's Vodafone Essar East Ltd and Cambodia's Applifone-Starcell operators. This is the twenty fourth roaming agreement with India and the third with Cambodia.
Currently, Azercell subscribers can benefit the services of following Indian operators: Hutchison Essar Limited (Orange), Hutchison Essar Mobile Services (Hutchison Essar Telecom), BPL Mobile Comunication (Mumbai), BPL Mobile Cellular (Kerala), BPL Mobile Cellular(Tamil Nadu), Bharti Airtel Chennai, Bharti Airtel Kolkatta, Bharti Airtel Tamilnad, Bharti Airtel UP West, Bharti Airtel Maharashtra, Bharti Airtel Rajasthan, Bharti Airtel Andhra Pradesh, Bharti Airtel Kerala, Bharti Airtel Gujarat, Bharti Airtel Punjab, Bharti Airtel Madhya Pradesh, Bharti Airtel Mumbai, Bharti Airtel Karnataka, Bharti Airtel Haryana, Bharti Airtel Himachal Pradesh BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd). As far as Cambodian operators are concerned, there are Telecom Malaysia International (Cambodia) TMIC and Cambodia Shinawatra Co, Ltd.
So far, Azercell Telecom LLC has signed up 371 roaming agreements with mobile communication operators from 146 countries worldwide.
