Representative of the Afghan Commerce and Industry Chamber Ghulam Qadir Akbar began negotiations with the Turkmen government to enhance economic cooperation in Ashgabat.
A series of meetings took place in the ministries of oil and gas and mineral resources, trade and foreign economic relations, the Turkmen Commerce and Industry Chamber and State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange reported.
The Afghan delegation voiced an interest in partnership in trade, economics, and the energy industry, an official Turkmen source reported.
Turkmenistan supplies to Afghanistan petroleum, electricity, and expects to use Afghan transit for natural gas exports to Pakistan.
