Azerbaijan exported tobacco and tobacco products worth $2.52 million in the first quarter of 2011, which is higher by 2.35 times compared to the same period 2010, the State Customs Committee said on Monday. The figure amounted to 0.05 percent of total exports.
Azerbaijan mainly exported (86.35 percent in the first three months) crude oil. The country exported crude oil worth $4.702 billion in January-March, which is higher by23.24 percent compared to the same period 2010.
During the report period, the country exported oil the amount of $70.724 million (10.62-percent decline. The figure amounted to 4.97 percent of total exports.
The country exported chemicals worth $18.426 million (an increase of 29.66 percent ; 0.34 percent of total exports -), cotton purified from the seeds - worth $3.564 million (60.87 percent and 0.07 percent, respectively), ferrous metals and wares - worth $37.618 million (37.62 percent and 0,69 percent, respectively), aluminum and wares - worth $1.215 million (24.69 percent and 0.02 percent, respectively), fruits and vegetables - worth $20.2 million (36.02 percent and 0.37 percent, respectively) alcoholic and soft drinks - worth $2.54 million (decrease of 43.8 percent and 0.05 percent of share capital), and vegetable oils and animal fats - worth $51.422 million (decrease of 7.39 percent ;0.94 percent of share capital).
Azerbaijan's export operations amounted to $5.445 billion, a 23.97 percent increase over the same period in 2010. Imports amounted to $1.892 billion, a 63.1 percent increase over the same period in 2010.
The total volume of the country's trade of made $7.336 billion, which is higher by 32.15 percent compared to the same period 2010
Black in the foreign trade operations hit $3.553 billion.
