The number of business entities registered in Georgia increased by 55.6 percent in July to 5,052 units compared to the same period last year.
The Georgian public registry told Trend that 97.8 percent were limited liability companies, joint stock companies and cooperatives, and 2.2 percent were non-entrepreneurial entities.
The business registration index amounted to 1.154.
The number of registered business entities increased by 5.7 percent in July to the previous month, while the number of non-entrepreneurial entities increased by 5.8 percent.
