About 72,000 industrial projects are semi-finished in Iran.
Iranian MP Reza Rahmani said over 58,000 projects have progressed by less than 20 percent, Iran's IRIB reported on June 1.
He added that about $140 million is needed to complete the projects.
USD official exchange rate is currently about 25,550 rials in Iran.
In December 2013, Mohammad Baqer Nobakht, Iranian vice president for planning and strategic supervision, said the administration has focused on completing semi-finished development projects and will not start new ones.
The administration has not initiated any project since President Hassan Rouhani took office in August, he further said.
We will allocate the lion's share of national development budget to finish the projects which are complete by over 80 percent, he added.
The current year's budget bill has set the national development budget at 380 trillion rials (about $15.3 billion), a 33 percent fall year on year.
The Iranian solar year starts on March 20.
