Iran`s Parliament approved the bill to amend the general budget for the Iranian next Iranian year (starts on March 16, 2021).
The members of Iran`s Parliament approved the bill to amend the general budget for the Iranian next Iranian year with 211 votes in favor, 28 against, and 6 abstentions today on Tuesday in the public session, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
Iran’s parliament on February 2nd, rejected a budget bill proposed by the government of President Hassan Rouhani.
The bill was submitted to parliament in December, but lawmakers called for drastic amendments in the draft, something which the government has so far resisted.
The Council of Ministers reviewed the amendment of the 1400 Iranian year budget bill on Sunday. In this meeting, the cabinet reviewed and amended the whole country's budget bill for the year 1400 so that the parliament approves the bill.
Iran's President Hassan Rouhani also said on Sunday in a meeting of the Government's Economic Coordination Board: "Any politicization can harm the country's development process and the rights of the people."
