The American company Mİ SWACO will prepare and submit to feasibility study of the waste management system and reconstruction of the SOCAR's center for utilization to the SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) by the end of the year, Mukhtar Babayev, SOCAR vice president on ecological issues said.
"By the end of the year the feasibility study should be prepared and submitted to us. After that its execution will begin," - Babayev said.
According to Babayev, this project is important for SOCAR. The company is a major producer. As a result of operation of the company's plants waste is created, utilization of which is one of the priorities of SOCAR.
Works on this project are part of the grant agreement signed between SOCAR and U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) worth $572,000. The agreement was signed Aug.13 2009.
The Centre involves both processing of industrial, solid waste and their second use and utilization.
