Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri CJSC launched operations within the project of clearing and land reclamation in the area Boyuk Shore (Lake) in Sabunchi district of Baku from the polluted water, mineral oil, to be used for the construction of a new Olympic stadium, the company said.
Earlier, preparatory work was completed to start work on this section, the report said. Now the company immediately began to realize this project. The company began work to clean polluted water from the territory. In future, "Ekol" will also work on processing oil sludge existing in the territory and reclamation of treated areas.
According to environmental monitoring, it was determined that there are about 588,000 cubic meters of polluted water and 250,000 cubic meters of oil sludge in this territory.
Co-founders of Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri, created March 1, 2006 to solve environmental problems existing in the Absheron peninsula, are SOCAR - 51 percent and Lancer SA Services - 49 percent.
